Thermal Break Systems
Insulated aluminium profiles that block heat through the frame, cut cooling costs and keep rooms comfortable.
Choose the right system
Four ways to build it. Pick a type to see how it opens, where it fits best and what it includes.
Thermal Break Windows
Casement, tilt-and-turn and fixed windows with a polyamide barrier between the outer and inner aluminium, so the inside frame stays close to room temperature.
Best for: Homes and offices where comfort and energy bills matter.
- Lower heat gain through frames
- Less condensation risk
- Works with double or triple glazing
Thermal Break Doors
Hinged doors on 62 mm insulated profiles with a 22 mm thermal strip and three gaskets compressed on closing.
Best for: Villa entrances and doors onto hot terraces.
- 22 mm thermal strip
- Three gasket sealing
- Heavy duty rated
Thermal Break Sliding
Heavy duty 120 mm sliding systems with a 16 mm glass-fibre reinforced polyamide strip in frame and sash.
Best for: Large glazed openings facing the sun.
- 16 mm thermal strip
- Arched and multi-sash options
- Water and dust proofing
Thermal Break Curtain Walls
Curtain wall and structural glazing systems with insulated frames and sashes, for facades that must meet energy targets.
Best for: Commercial buildings with large glazed areas.
- Insulated pressure plates or frames
- Pairs with solar control glass
- Supports energy code compliance
How a thermal break works
Aluminium conducts heat very well. A thermal break splits the profile in two and joins the halves with insulating polyamide, so heat from outside stops at the frame.
Switch between the two profiles to see where the heat goes.
Why choose Thermal Break Systems
Lower cooling bills
Frames make up about a quarter of a window's area. Insulating them cuts heat gain.
More comfortable rooms
Inner frames stay cooler in summer, so spaces near the glass feel better.
Less condensation
A warmer inside frame reduces condensation on humid days.
Quieter interiors
Insulated profiles and quality gaskets also reduce outside noise.
Two colours
The strip separates inside and outside, so each face can have its own colour.
Side by side
The highlighted column follows the type you selected above.
| Thermal Break Windows | Thermal Break Doors | Thermal Break Sliding | Thermal Break Curtain Walls | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Product | Windows | Doors | Sliding | Curtain walls |
| Thermal strip | Polyamide | 22 mm | 16 mm | Insulated frame |
| Opening | Swing or tilt | Swing | Slide | Fixed or vents |
| Best for | Homes, offices | Entrances | Large openings | Facades |

Questions clients ask
Still unsure which system fits? Send us your drawings or a photo of the opening.
Is a thermal break worth it in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. In a hot climate the main cost is cooling. Insulated frames reduce heat entering the building and support energy code compliance.
How much better is it than normal aluminium?
On our systems the frame heat transfer drops from about 5.7 to 3.3 W/m2K, roughly 40% less. The final window value depends on the glass too.
Can I see the thermal break?
No. The polyamide strip sits inside the profile. Only the option of two different colours shows it.
Does it need special glass?
It works best with double glazing and a Low-E coating, so frame and glass both insulate.
Does it cost more?
Yes, somewhat more than standard profiles, and the difference is recovered through lower cooling costs over the years.
Is it as strong as standard aluminium?
Yes. Glass-fibre reinforced polyamide is rigid and is crimped into the profile, and assemblies are load tested.
